Why Francis

St. Francis School, managed by Jamnagar C.M.I. Society, draws its academic legacy from the first indigenous religious congregation Carmelites of May Immaculate founded in the year 1831. The C.M.I congregation traces its roots of education to 1846 when the first Sanskrit school was founded at Mannanam, Kerala. Since then, we are convinced that the aim of all education is the formation of the human person for the fulfilment of his individual and social responsibilities. Conscious of this aim, we try to give an excellent and all-round formation to the students in our educational institution. Considering the fact that in education we share the responsibility of the nation, we make special efforts to co-ordinate our educational activities with the aims and goals of the nation so that our students may grow up as responsible citizens fully involved in the task on nation-building.

St. Francis School belongs to a global network of education under C.M.I. Congregation that caters to the present-day educational needs of the society. The school is set in a specious ambiance with the modern educational facilities. It gives equal importance to the curricular and co-curricular student needs. We stress on discipline, moral development, character formation and equality. We believe that students going out of this institution year after year will be able to make space for themselves in the society.
