Computer Education has got a great importance in the era of Information Technology. The school has well-furnished Computer Labs and qualified teachers separately for the Primary and Secondary Sections.
School labs are a great place for students which help them enhance their learning by understanding the theoretical concepts of science which are taught in classrooms. Science lab equipment allows students to interact directly with the data gathered. They get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. Students are made to use the models and understand different scientific theories and concepts. St. Francis School has different science labs for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The school has Library and Reading rooms attached to it with a good number of books and periodicals regularly subscribed.
These books are made available to the students to increase their knowledge and understanding on various subjects.
The books are issued on request to each student by the Librarian during the Library period under the direct supervision of the class teacher can be kept for two weeks, at the end of which they are to be promptly returned. They can also be returned once for another week.
With the basic purpose of providing students a platform to enhance their English Language Skills, our school offers the facility of wellequipped Language Lab and trained teachers.
The Language Lab aims to helps the students;
Smart boards used in the school improve the way teachers teach and enhance the way students learn. It provides an enriched learning experience for students by projecting visual elements. Learning with smart boards' help is much more straightforward because teachers can accommodate different learning styles.
We have a well-equipped seminar hall with advanced sound systems and projector facilities that support proper training and seminars.
It is totally air-conditioned and holds the capacity of more than 100 individuals.
Our seminar hall facilities are accessed by both our students and faculties to cater to several uses such as presentations, meetings, workshops and conferences.
An auditorium is the right place for any social, cultural, and educational activity in a school. It is an essential part of a school as it has multiple uses to organize celebrations and recreational activities. Our auditorium facilities can be accessed by both our students and faculties to cater to several uses such as presentations, meetings, workshops, conferences, PTM, celebrations and completions.
Playing sports develops a child's character to become confident and adaptable. It also instils patience, self-discipline, perseverance, to accept the beauty of defeat and improving their skills, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits of fitness which they will carry till adulthood.
To achieve that goal, sports and games are given due importance under the leadership of qualified P.T. teachers. We have very good playgrounds for Football, Basketball and Skating.
Games and activities are essential for healthy development in early childhood of a student. Play lets children practise what they know, and also what they don't. It allows them to experiment through trial and error, find solutions to problems, work out the best strategies, and build new confidence and skills.
Games and activities also improve the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children at the early stages of their development. Through games children learn about the world and themselves. They also learn skills they need for study, work and relationships such as: confidence.
With the aim of providing the values of character, discipline, hard work and shape them into dynamic and responsible citizens of the country our school offers the opportunity for students to join NCC.
We also have a unit of Scouts functioning in our school. The whole idea behind the Scouts, is to contribute to the development of youngsters in gaining their full physical, mental, emotional, social and intellectual as individual human beings, as responsible Indians and as members of their local, national and international communities.
